Year 7 students attend their first residential at the Pioneer Centre
Brooke Weston Academy Year 7 students participated in their first residential at the Pioneer Centre, situated in the stunning countryside on the edge of the Wyre Forest.
There was plenty of opportunity for our students to learn new skills, conquer fears and have lots of fun! Despite the occasional showers, students and staff participated in a wide range of activities including, abseiling; zip wiring; cave climbing and archery. Students also got up close and personal with a 15-foot albino python snake and a very sleepy albino desert hedgehog as well as meeting a tree Kookaburra. At the end of each fun-packed day, they also took part in some campfire team bonding activities before settling down to a well-deserved sleep.
