Year 7 students are celebrating after winning the first Trust sports event in Dodgeball, Endball and Boccia hosted by Corby Business Academy.
More than 35 students from each of the five Trust schools; CBA, Kettering Science Academy, Corby Technical School and Brooke Weston participated in the tournament where Brooke Weston came first in Dodgeball, second in Endball and fourth in Boccia, which due to last minute changes was a sport that the team had never played before, making them the overall winners and receiving the games trophy.
Teams were mixed half boys, half girls and chosen on skill, sportsmanship and ability to work together as a team. Captains were selected for each team from those that had demonstrated good leadership skills.
P.E teacher Miss Marsh said, ‘The year 7s have been exceptional and have represented their school and demonstrated the culture and ethos that we promote here fantastically well. I am extremely proud of all of them.’
