Northamptonshire Schools’ Golf Championships

Year 9 student engages with his passion for golf to represent BWA

Congratulations to Year 9 student Jack Fowler for representing Brooke Weston Academy at the Northamptonshire Schools’ Golf Championships held at Collingtree Park Golf Club.

Jack showcased his talent and dedication by scoring two birdies, which is a score of one stroke under par on a hole. His impressive performance placed him 20th out of 63 participants. Jack has been a member of Kettering Golf Club since he was 8 years old and has been selected to play for the county in the junior squad, currently playing off a handicap of 11.5.

Jack said, ‘I got into golf after being bought a club by my dad when I was three years old, and it just went from there. It’s an enjoyable sport and very sociable too, although at times it can also be a frustrating game if things don’t go your way. I enjoy watching Rory McIlroy play and I aspire to become a professional golfer.'

Well done, Jack! Keep aiming high and engaging with your passion. We look forward to supporting Jack as he continues to pursue his ambitions.
