GCHQ National Language Competition

Year 9 students receive Special Recognition Award for engagement in National Language competition

Well done to our Year 9 students, Eliora Balogun-Williams, Jake Barwell, Harry Kibble, Jan Labaj and Kristina Olaru, who were all presented with a Special Recognition Award certificate for their exceptional engagement and hard work in GCHQ’s National Language competition 2024.

The GCHQ National Language Competition is an exciting nationwide event where teams from across the UK compete to solve language-based puzzles, testing their linguistic skills, teamwork, and problem-solving abilities. This competition is not just a challenge but a ticket for life, opening doors to future opportunities and inspiring students to aspire and achieve their ambitions.

MFL teacher, Mr Jabado, said, ‘These students not only rose to the challenge with enthusiasm and resilience, but also upheld the true academic values of our school — ambition and determination to succeed. This certificate is a token of their dedication to language learning and a celebration of their outstanding efforts.’

Well done to all our participants for their remarkable achievements and for embodying the spirit of engagement and aspiration.
