A Proud Day for Our Year 10 Brooke Boys
Well done on a great performance from our Year 10 students Knox Rees, James Atkins, Owen Thompstone, and Izaak Cane, who recently represented Kettering Rugby Club in the East Midlands Plate final against Brackley U15s.
Knox led the team out as Captain, with Vice Captain James scoring two tries. Despite an outstanding performance, they were just pipped to the post in the final two minutes, with a score of 20-22 to Brackley. It was a closely fought and well-played game, with our students showing true sportsmanship, resilience, and support for each other and the whole team.
Knox said, ‘All the players tried their best. I couldn’t have asked for more from them, but it was a very close game, and we were just unlucky on the day.’
Congratulations to Knox, James and Owen, who have also recently been selected to play county rugby for East Northants. We look forward to seeing your continued success on the rugby field.
