Author Tamsin Winter is visiting BWA on Wednesday 19th February
Brooke Weston Academy is thrilled to announce that award-winning author Tamsin Winter will be visiting our school on Wednesday 19th February.
During her visit, Tamsin will give a special presentation to all Year 7 students, who have been exploring some of her books in their ‘Beyond the Book’ wider curriculum lessons.
For Year 7 students interested in owning a copy of her books, Tamsin will be hosting a book signing session after the presentation. Those wishing to purchase a book must pre-order and make payments via WisePay by Tuesday, 11th February. Each book is priced at £7, and please note that there will be no cash sales on the day.
Literacy Coordinator Lauren Fitzjohn, said, ‘While purchasing books is optional, we hope that meeting Tamsin and learning about her books in English lessons will inspire our students to add to their reading miles. We look forward to welcoming Tamsin to BWA and hope this event will be a memorable experience for our Year 7 students!’
Copies of all Tamsin’s books are available to borrow from the school library.
