The Educational Spirit Award, is an award for an individual or a group who has enriched their lives through a commitment to lifelong learning, who has returned to education, achieved excellence in their chosen field, or who inspires others with their enthusiasm and love for learning.
Public voting for the shortlisted nominations opens on Monday 14th October and will remain open until Friday 1st November. The winners will be announced at an awards ceremony which will take place on Friday 22nd November at the Best Western Hotel, Corby.
Angeline said, ‘My nomination for The Spirit of Corby Award came as a wonderful surprise. To be nominated by someone is genuinely an absolute honour. I have had the privilege of working with the amazing students and families of Corby for over 20 years at Brooke Weston Academy. Sharing my passion for science and ensuring students with Special Educational Needs and Disabilities receive the very best education and support has been incredibly rewarding. Seeing young people leave in Year 11 and 13 as confident young adults is, and always will be, an absolute joy!’
