As part of the World Cup celebrations students had to answer 30 questions based on facts and figures from the history of the World Cup as well as identifying a number of flags from this year’s participating countries.

The winners were Conlan Wilkinson from 12N, Joe McFarlane from 8E and 7N’s Tamara Fordham. They each won a World Cup Telestar Top Glider football.

Librarian Wendy McCabe said: ‘The quiz was a great way to get the students involved in the celebration of a huge sporting event and discover lots of interesting facts about the history of the World Cup. Thanks to everyone who took part.’
