Well done to all of our students who are celebrating their GCSE results. Here’s what a few of our top performers are planning to do next:
Students and staff at Brooke Weston Academy are celebrating another year of outstanding GCSE examination results. This year, 93% of year 11 students secured grades 9 to 4 in the newly reformed English qualifications and 88% of the cohort secured the same in Mathematics. Impressively, over a quarter of all grades were awarded A*/A, or the new equivalent 9 to 7 measure.
Mr Darren Hooper, Brooke Weston Academy’s DT technician, took part in a gruelling 24-hour bike ride alongside current national and world champion endurance cyclists.

Brooke Weston’s teachers Mr Troy Rutt and Miss Christina Kelly are looking forward to the challenges of their new roles overseas. Mr Rutt is moving to Malaysia while Miss Kelly will be teaching in Qatar.
Best selling novelist Dan Freedman visited Brooke Weston this week to speak to students about his career and host a creative workshop for a group of Year 7 students.
