Students in Year 10 perform a solo piece in practice for their GCSE
Year 10 students showcased their musical talents during an informal performance in front of an audience of staff and students from Brooke Weston Academy.
There were some classical piano pieces; vocal performances with some well-known pop songs; a guitarist and a clarinettist who performed a fabulous grade piece.
Performing Arts teacher, Sophie Jackson, said, ‘The Year 10 musicians have been working really hard to create a solo performance piece for their GCSE. They are fabulous but have had very little experience with performance, so I arranged for them to do an informal performance after school to students and staff at Brooke Weston. It was a great opportunity to celebrate our young musicians.’
