Students have made festive sweet treats and decorations which were handed out to staff at Brooke Weston Academy.
The Year 10s made Christmas themed food including fudge, meringues, honeycomb and tiffin, a selection of which were gift wrapped and handed out, compete with a Christmas tree decoration made by the Year 7s and 8s, and tags embroidered by KS3 textiles students.
Head of DT Natasha Chiremba said; ‘It was a real team effort and the students and DT staff, including Ruth, Darren and Marie all worked hard to make sure that everything was completed on time. The students worked really well in teams to produce the festive sweets. Well done to Maverick Asiedu who produced the After Eight fudge and the dipped honeycomb, along with Amelia Miller. The meringue kisses were made by Emily Smith and Charlotte Fletcher. Carter Love and Victoria Tysoe created the chocolate tiffin Christmas puddings and chocolate Christmas shapes. They were all given as a surprise token of appreciation to the staff and they were definitely well received.’
