Here’s some of our top performing students who are celebrating fantastic GCSE results and their plans for their future.

Daniel Nicholson.

Daniel Nicholson achieved straight 9 grades in 10 subjects. He said: ‘I was most happy with my grade in physics and I will study physics, maths, computer science and financial studies at A Level. I’d eventually like to go to the University of Nottingham to study computer science. I don’t know what I want to do eventually, maybe something to do with software development. In my mocks I was predicted high grades so I was hoping for these results. My advice for younger students would be to take Years 10 and 11 seriously and make sure you write all your notes and revise well.’

Oli Hackett (pictured top) was awarded nine grade 9s and a grade 8. He said: ‘I am really proud. The German one was the most difficult so I am really pleased with this. I put a lot of revision in. I am going to study maths, media and business in the Sixth Form.’

Molayo.

Molayo Olugbile achieved nine 9s and an 8. He said: ‘I am really happy with my results. I plan on doing physics, chemistry, biology and maths at A Level. It took a lot of work and sacrifices to get these results. I stopped behind school a lot to work. I was pleased with my English results but I did work a lot. I have ambitions to go to Oxford university to do medicine. My advice for other students would be to have a plan and work smarter – don’t confuse working for long hours with working effectively.’

Baitoa.

Baitao Chen received nine grade 9s and one 8. He said: ‘I am just speechless! I did work hard for these which shows in the grades. I am most happy with my English one as I had to put so much work in.’ He will be studying A Levels in biology, chemistry, maths and computer science and wants to study medicine or computer science at university. I was supported 100% by the teachers here in my studies.’

Jasmine.

Jasmine Clifton was celebrating four 9s, four 8s and two 7s. She said: ‘I was most pleased about my 7 in drama because the writing test was really hard and I wasn’t sure I would get that. I am returning for Sixth Form to study drama, psychology, maths and biology. I was really happy when I opened the results, I wasn’t worried I was more excited!’
