BWA Science teacher set to run the Royal Paths Half Marathon Event for charity
Brooke Weston Academy Science teacher, Josh Pape, is taking part in the Royal Paths Half Marathon event in London on 13th October to raise funds for CoppaFeel!, a breast cancer awareness charity.
Josh said, ‘Last September I completed the Thames Path 50k Ultramarathon to raise money for Macmillan. This charity was chosen because of a close friend of my wife and I who was battling breast cancer. This event resulted in us raising £1000 for the charity!
‘The difference is that our friend is now in remission and will also be taking part in the half-marathon! She has come an incredibly long way to even consider taking part in this event, and we will be with her every step of the way.
‘Our friend has been fundraising through her own events for Coppafeel! for the past year, and has also secured a place on a Himalayan trek so we are also raising funds for Coppafeel!
