BWA holds its annual school sports day at Rockingham Triangle Athletics Stadium
Brooke Weston Academy students took part in sports day at Rockingham Triangle Sports Stadium where they competed in traditional track and field events, which saw several students breaking our previous school records.
Congratulations to the overall winning tutor groups in the track and field events: 7B, 8W, 9R and 10S.
The last event of the day was the highly anticipated annual teacher’s 4x100m relay race, a hugely competitive event, with the PE department taking gold, followed by a silver for the English department with Humanities in bronze position.
PE Faculty Lead, Emma Salisbury said, ‘Sports day 2024 was a very successful day for all students and staff that attended. I would like to say a massive thank you for everyone's effort on Sports Day, including the buildings and restaurant staff and all the teachers. It doesn’t work unless everyone from stewards to event marshals are doing their job.'
