Year 10 student takes part in Harborough Town FC Youth Academy trip to Malta
Year 10 student and Harborough Town U15's Midland Junior Premier League Academy player, Tuvya Balogun-Williams, enjoyed a fantastic footballing trip to Malta and Goza over Easter as part of the 'emerging talent' programme at Harborough Town Football Club.
Tuvya has been part of the Harborough Town U15 Junior players since the start of the season last August and is an avid Manchester United fan. As well as taking part in training sessions and playing matches against the Maltese Youth Academy teams, Tuvya was also able to partake in sightseeing, which included visiting the fortified cities of Cospicua, Senglea and Vittoriosa, as well as the capital city, Valetta.
Tuvya said, ‘It was a great experience to get to play against some of the top Maltese academy players. It was quite tough playing in the heat, but we had four matches and won three of those, which was a great result as some of the Maltese players were older than us. It was also great to be able to do some sightseeing while we were there. Malta is a beautiful place and I would definitely recommend it as a place to visit.’
